Lawrence Wiener - Trustee
Lawrence Wiener has been a Trustee since June, 1997. He is a graduate of Syracuse University. He is Chairman and Founder of Pension Investors Corporation with offices in Hollywood and Orlando. He is past president of the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami and currently serves on the National Board of Estate Planners and Councils. He is past president of the Miami Chapter of Financial Service Professionals and has also served on their National Board.
He is active in the field of developmental disabilities. He is a past president of the Florida Association of Retarded Citizens, twice past president of the ARC/South Florida, past Treasurer and Board Member of the Advocacy Center for Persons with Disabilities and was appointed by Governor Askew to the first Development Disabilities Council of Florida.
Larry has been recognized as “Outstanding Seminar Leader” by the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants for seventeen years. He currently serves on five boards for “for profit” corporations and eight “non-profit” organizations.
Larry and his wife Judy live in Hollywood. They have two children and one grandchild. Judy’s father retired from the Warren, Ohio Police Force. |

*Certified Public Pension Trustee (CPPT), through the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association. The CPPT certificate is attained by attending educational seminars and conferences which includes examinations on the material. The educational seminars include such topics as Assest Allocation, Capital Markets Stocks/Bonds, Fiduciary Responsibilities, Economics, Pension Fundamentals, Performance Reporting, Legal Issues and other Public Pension Business. Once certification is attained, all members must complete ten Continuing Education Units annually to maintain Certification. |
